£0 remaining for electrical works to install a cooker
This Christians Against Poverty client is a single parent to two infants. For the last two years she has been without the use of a cooker because she hasn't been able to afford to have the electrical works completed. Mum currently uses a microwave and an air-fryer, but this is increasing becoming more difficult. She has sought an electrician's quote at £225 to install the cooker, run a 6mm cable from the cooker switch to the cooker outlet, and install a single socket.
Mum and her children, aged eleven and thirteen, have experienced a lot of trauma. They were homeless for five months, but now live in an old house and need carpets to make it warm and comfortable. Mum has been unable to work for six months because of mental health issues, depression and fibromyalgia. With the loss of earnings, she now has mounting debts so we are providing Money Advice and Food Bank support. We can provide carpets, but need help with the fitting costs. Praying our kind donors will be able to help.
