L is struggling as a pensioner, paying top-up towards her rent and helping out her adult sons who are mentally unwell. She has mould in her property that has damaged her washing machine. L has to take her washing by bus to her brother's house on a weekly basis. She has a health condition which affects her mobility and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) which leaves her breathless. Having a new washing machine would have a massive positive impact on L and would be one less thing to worry about.
