£190 remaining for an electric cooker
This lady has a fourteen year old, but has just taken on her brother's four year old and ten month old under Special Guardianship measures. She only receives Universal Credit and Child Benefits. We have been asked by the Child Protection family support worker to help her get a cooker. Please will you help?
J and A live, who live in a newly acquired, unfurnished Housing Association property, could not afford their rent so were evicted. Since then they have been homeless for two years, having lived for six months in a tent before being housed in temporary accommodation. They are on a very low income, with no savings, as A is in receipt of basic state pension and J is on Universal Credit. This couple are very grateful for any help towards a cooker, as they only have a microwave to cook with currently.
Mum and dad, who have a four year old child, are not able to work due to physical disabilities and so they receive Universal Credit. The family has got into debt with their utility bills and the electric oven has broken. They are already struggling financially with having to pay over £100 extra to clear the utility debt. Mum and dad don't have any savings and all meals are currently cooked using a microwave. We are requesting funding to enable this family to buy an oven.
