£200 remaining for a cooker
J is working with Christians Against Poverty after suffering mental health issues which led to financial difficulties after the death of his father. He had been living with his father and giving him end of life care. J was never on the tenancy so was made homeless when his father died. He has now acquired another flat and been able to take some of his father’s furniture, but he needs a special slimline cooker which is not easy to acquire second-hand, so needs to be purchase new. Any help with this would be appreciated.
Our client, who is thirty seven years of age and is a single mum to a little girl, works part time. She tries to do more hours when she can, but is restricted as she needs to do the school runs. R suffers from back pain which she takes medication for on a daily basis, but she will not give up work as she tries to set a good example to her daughter. Once mum has paid her priority bills there is no money left over. R`s cooker has been broken for some time and she has been cooking microwave meals. Please can you help?
This single mum, who is struggling to make ends meet on a very low income, and in debt, is in need of a living room carpet. The previous carpet in the property had been cleaned many times, but was too dangerous to leave down, as it had holes and became a trip hazard for the family. We have rugs down currently, as the floor is concrete and cold, and mum just cannot find any way of buying a living room carpet
We are working with J through Christians Against Poverty to help him with his financial situation. He recently became homeless, due to a relationship breakdown. Our client has recently become a father and is hoping to have shared custody of his son. He has been offered a flat, but it requires everything for it to be a home for him and his new son. Our client has received some second-hand items, but still requires a sofa, storage units, curtains and curtain poles. Any help would be appreciated.
