£200 remaining for food, gas and electric top-up vouchers
M, a single gentleman living on his own is a builder who had an incident a few months ago that has damaged his back. He has been off work for a while, which has led to him struggling to even provide himself with his basic needs. M needs support with gas and electric top-ups and also some food vouchers, as he can barely provide himself with these and he's used almost all his savings.
Our client, A, is fifty two years old and sadly suffered a terrible sexual assault in his own home. He cannot bear to sleep in his bed and the police have taken all his bedding for forensic examination. He now suffers with his mental health and is sleeping on his sofa. Our client's support worker feels that if the room was changed and he had a new bed and bedding, this would help him enormously. Our client only receives benefits, as he had to give up work and cannot afford to replace these items. Please could you help him have a fresh start?
Our client, a lovely lady who has learning difficulties, is forty eight years old and is so happy and smiling. She comes to our local church and has approached me for help with food and heating. Having got to the bottom of her problems, A has been paying an awful lot of her benefits to a scammer who told her she was helping children who live in poverty. Our client is now in arrears with her gas, and has no food. Please can you help with food, and gas arrears of £149. Thank you.
One of our colleagues, who works tirelessly to help people with debt issues, has found herself in a difficult situation. Her husband has lost his job, due to ill health, and is waiting to have a knee replacement as the pain he is in is unbearable. We have supported him with claiming disability benefit, but this could take months. A has been trying to make her wages stretch, but once all the bills have been paid there is no money for essentials. Please can you help with a food voucher and fuel?
