£120 remaining for clothing
This young man, who has recently entered temporary housing after sleeping rough and sofa surfing for over two years, only possesses one set of clothing which is unsuitable for the current colder weather. He desperately needs underwear, socks, t-shirt, jumper, trousers, winter coat and footwear so he can get out and about. Being on benefits means this young man can't readily afford these, so help funding these will be gratefully received.
D, a single lady with no family or support outside of AGE UK, has been living in unsuitable temporary accommodation, but has now been given social housing as she is very poorly and has a limited life expectancy. D is on a low income and has no savings, due to moving costs, but she desperately needs a cooker so that she can cook healthy meals for herself, and remain as healthy as possible for as long as she can.
S, who lives with his brother in a privately rented flat, has become his brother's carer, due to his brother having poorly controlled diabetes and asthma. Both are struggling financially as they are only on Universal Credit currently. They only have a fridge to store their food, but need a freezer to make shopping and meal preparation more economical. S and his brother have no savings and are having welcome support with debt and money management. They would appreciate help to buy a freezer.
K fled from domestic violence, leaving everything behind. She has been in temporary accommodation but has now been given her own flat, but it is completely empty. She has been able to get furniture second hand, but not any carpet. As she is on benefits and a tight budget she cannot see herself getting any carpet for some time. She would love to be able to make the main room a comfortable warm space by having a carpet. Any help you can give would be gratefully received.
