£180 remaining for a bill for carers
D, who has had significant illness and loss over the last few years, lives alone and has been battling cancer. This year she spent six months in hospital and, once home, needed carers and has now been given a bill for this care of nearly £900. D has paid most of this bill, but still owes £180. She has no money to pay the rest, as she has debts for rent, and due to the hospital stay and her benefits stopping, risks losing her home. We are helping D at the foodbank and are seeking to support her back to financial stability.
D has been in hospital for a while due to extreme pain in her leg. Her leg was eventually amputated due to the long term effects of diabetes and she is in the recovery process. D is unable to work at the moment and her benefits have not gone through yet. She needs help to top up her gas and electric, which has gone up since her return from hospital. She is also struggling to buy food, and she is on lots of medication at the moment. Please can you help us support her?
A single, isolated mum is a carer for both of her two children. Mum had suffered significant nerve damage after a traumatic labour and is in need of a small double mattress as her current one is old and doesn't provide the proper back support she needs. This mattress will enable mum to get the rest she needs to be able to continue caring for her family's needs. Although mum is in employment, her finances are stretched with the care needs of her family. Please could you help? Thank you.
S is a mum of two children and also a carer to her mum who has been in a coma in the hospital for the past few months. S has been unable to work, due to the commitments of looking after her mum as well as the children when they are back from school. She goes to the hospital four times a week, which is out of the area. This has been really costly for her, as sometimes she needs a taxi from hospital to get to the kids school for pick up on time. Please could you help us to supply a bus pass and train tickets for a month and food vouchers?
