£165 remaining for a bed and mattress
N and her three children were homeless for over seven months and living in a hotel. Mum could not afford to store her furniture so when she was rehoused she had to buy second-hand furniture. Mum is sleeping on a broken bed and this is not helping her sleep. She suffers with her mental health and her youngest child is autistic. N feels she would cope better if she had somewhere she could retreat to at the end of the day, where she would feel comfortable and relaxed. Thank you for any help.
S, who lives with his brother in a privately rented flat, has become his brother's carer, due to his brother having poorly controlled diabetes and asthma. Both are struggling financially as they are only on Universal Credit currently. They only have a fridge to store their food, but need a freezer to make shopping and meal preparation more economical. S and his brother have no savings and are having welcome support with debt and money management. They would appreciate help to buy a freezer.
W was self employed until an injury left him with a disability and he is no longer able to work; he is now in receipt of benefits. He shares custody of his two young children with his previous partner. His washing machine has just broken and is not viable to fix, and with young children to support and a limited budget W is struggling with launderette fees. He would really appreciate any support you can give to enable him to get a new one. W is being supported by his local Food Bank.
J, a single mum to three lovely children, has just been housed after sixteen months of constant moving from various temporary properties. Now that she has been housed, the entire property was empty and she is struggling to furnish her new home. So by giving towards a television, microwave and rugs, you will help towards a family having a home with some basic comforts before Christmas.
