£200 remaining for a washing machine
K is a single parent who currently does not have the care of her one year old daughter as she is unable to meet her needs, partly due to lack of facilities in her home. K's ex-partner took the washing machine when the couple acrimoniously separated recently, so she desperately needs a replacement washing machine. Mum is unable to use the launderette, due to her anxiety, depression and poorly controlled epilepsy. K has no savings and is dependent on benefits so any help is appreciated.
A was street homeless for a long time before spending eighteen months in hospital due to her mental illness. On her recent discharge, she was allocated a social housing property which is unfurnished. She would greatly benefit from a washing machine as she cannot access a launderette and has a large amount of soiled bedding which needs washing frequently. A, who has no savings and is on benefits, has no family or friends to help her practically or financially, only ongoing support from the mental health team.
J has thankfully been housed in a Housing Association property, but has no curtains/poles or flooring. He has been suffering with poor physical and mental health, and has been unable to work for sometime. J is struggling on his benefit only income and cannot afford to make his house a home. Living without curtains and flooring is not helping his health. Could you please consider helping this gentleman to make his home feel more private and safe with some funds towards curtains and poles? Thank you.
A support worker from Cornwall Children and Family Services is supporting a family in crisis as we approach Christmas. This mum of two children, who was recently made redundant, has used up all her financial reserves to replace several items that were smashed up by her son who has additional needs. One of these items was a clothes horse. Mum has no means of drying their clothes over the winter. A cost-effective dehumidifier with a large capacity tank and a new clothes horse would be hugely appreciated.
