£120 remaining for a food voucher and electricity
This lady, who is at the end of her tether, works full-time as a nurse for the NHS and has no money for food voucher to be used at our food cooperative (allowing her to buy food at less than half the retail price) and electricity. Her house is freezing cold and she has no stair covering, which is making the house even colder. This lady is a single parent with a son aged twelve. We are reaching out to you for help please.
B is a young adult with severe learning needs who is going through a tough time. In supported living she gets twenty hours one-to-one support from a local care team, providing activities and maintaining independence. Recently, her finances have been stopped over a concern of financial abuse which has left B with no income. She is being supported by her care to resolve this. Could you help B in continuing her supported activities by purchasing a voucher for personal hygiene products and some new nightwear and underwear?
P, a single mum from India with two teenage children, has recently had to move into a new home and has no furniture. The entire family is currently sleeping on the floor and, as the weather turns colder, this will be increasingly uncomfortable. This lovely lady has worked very hard to further her education and find work, but the cost of moving has left her without the resources to furnish her children's room. P would be very grateful for any help received to make her children more comfortable
B, who has been out of jail for three months and is sofa surfing, is working on her relationship with her children and is walking two hours each way to see them on a Saturday and Sunday. She would love to have a bike, and Acts 435 did provide a bike for this applicant a few years ago, but all her belongings were lost when she went to prison. A bike would make it much easier to see the children, and there is a local bike hub who could provide one for £100.
