O is an asylum seeker who regularly attends our support drop-ins and also takes part in our twice weekly English classes. It is difficult for him to do his homework and access any information or additional English classes online with only a phone. We would love to get him his own laptop. Thank you so much for helping him with this!
J, who is in a family of three living in private rented and struggling financially, works nights and has to travel an hour to work. He must have clean clothes every single day as he works in a bread factory where personal hygiene is essential. His only source of drying is a Calor gas heater which they use with a maiden and move from room to room. The motor on the drum of the dryer cannot be repaired and has been condemned. The guarantee ran out just before Christmas.
