£150 remaining for utility bills and rent
This father of a young family of five has unfortunately lost his job and is actively seeking work. However, they have no recourse to public funds and the family is in financial crisis. The church is currently supporting them with food parcels, but the family is losing control over its utility bills and rent. I know this request is not going to solve their problems, but your kindness and generosity will help towards supporting this family and their immediate need.
Our beneficiary is a young mother with two children under six years, who is struggling to pay off historic debts whilst trying to keep up with current bills. She is on a low income and receives Universal Credit and Personal Independence Payment. The family is being supported by Family Solutions. The current cooker is more than 15 years old and beyond repair. We would like to raise funds towards making a proper functioning cooker a reality, so that the family can have a wider range of dishes.
This lady desperately needs to sell her flat to clear substantial debts. She previously worked at Gatwick Airport, but a back fracture followed by a heart attack led to job loss and spiralling debts, in turn leading to anxiety, depression and suicidal ideation. Since working with Christians Against Poverty, this lady has become a regular attender at our mid-week discipleship group and is slowly turning her life around. Money for man with van hire and an Energy Performance Certificate would be very much appreciated.
X is living on the breadline and has had an issue with her bank which, although now resolved, means she needs help over the next few months to pay for utilities and her mortgage. She was beaten up in the past which left her with mental health issues that may have contributed to the problems she is experiencing at present. Please would you help this lady to get past this difficulty?
