£130 remaining for a mattress
R, a recent Christians Against Poverty client, has recently become homeless, along with his partner and their teenage son. The parents are both dependent upon benefits, due to poor physical and mental health. They have managed to find a rented house, but require a new mattress for the double bed. They have struggled financially to make this new start, as they have had to provide many basic items to make the house liveable. It would be a real blessing if we could enable them to have a clean mattress on the bed.
P has had a deterioration in health and has run up some debts that she is trying to clear, working with Christians Against Poverty Money Coaching. Recently she has not been able to go to work because of health issues (a recent diagnosis of cancer and unstable diabetes) and money has been very tight. A plan is in place to work on the debts but her car, which she will need to get to work, needs attention because the front spring has gone. Help from Acts 435 donors to pay for the car repair is requested.
Our charity is currently supporting a gentleman who is suffering from mental and physical health issues and is currently receiving treatment for cancer. He is awaiting a benefit review and is being assisted by a benefit advice agency with this. He is unable to work due to his illness and is struggling financially to afford heating oil. Any support to purchase oil would be greatly appreciated.
This lady is a single parent to four teenage children, following the loss of her husband a number of years ago. She has recently had to move jobs, due to a change in circumstances involving one of her children. This lady is finding it difficult to afford oil to heat her home, on top of other expenses including electricity and maintenance work. Please would you be able to help this family stay warm this winter?
