£0 remaining for rent arrears
J, who lives alone in her council flat, is in receipt of Employment and Support Allowance. She received £218 per fortnight, out of which she has to pay £30 per week for rent and £120 per month for Council Tax. J, who is in debt for £700 has applied for Personal Independence Payment, but cannot be considered until after Christmas. She attends Holy Trinity Marketplace and is a participant of the community there.
This family are new to area, having been moved to be nearer family due to having twins. Dad works full-time night shifts. The family has got into financial difficulties due to needing two of everything. Currently they don't have any means of drying clothes due to costs. Support to acquire a tumble dryer would be an amazing addition to their lives. This would ease the difficulties of not having money to buy clothes, and not being able to go out into the garden to hang washing because of safeguarding the twins who are two years old.
S and A, who need help with car costs including and MOT and repairs, live in Cornwall and both need the car for work. S has a very poorly mother and the car is needed to visit her. He has not seen her for two years. They are in trouble financially and help with this payment would be a huge blessing to them both. S and A have recently started to attend our church as a result of working with us at Christians Against Poverty.
J has been sofa surfing since 2020 after leaving her martial home in Northern Ireland, due to domestic violence. She has recently been housed in an unfurnished flat, is being supported by her local Food Bank and has been able to source a lot of free items from local social media sites. J, who doesn't have a washing machine and has no funds to purchase one, is currently on benefits, but looking for work. She is trying her best for a fresh start and would appreciate any support you can give. Thank you.
