£120 remaining for clothes
D, who has been living in supported accommodation, due to a relationship breakdown, has maintained regular contact with his children, which has always been one of his main priorities. He is now integrating back into life, and is helping other people who have faced similar issues and struggles in life. The new clothes would help with future job interviews and training opportunities, and would help promote a more positive sense of self, which is a very important and necessary part of moving forward in life.
K has been living in a bed and breakfast for eighteen months. Thanks to Christians Against Poverty's help with her debts, she is finally able to move into her own place. She doesn't own any white goods or furniture and we would love to bless her with a washing machine. K has poor health and cannot drive so going to the launderette is very hard work for her. It would bless her socks off to have her very own washing machine!
Our client (at Faithworks Community Money Advice) is working hard with us. Following his partner's very sudden death, dad had to give up work to care for his two year old. In his grief, he got behind on his car insurance and now it is time to renew, the insurance company are asking for a deposit of £200. Any help towards this would be massively appreciated. Many thanks.
S lives with his partner and three children, aged fourteen, ten and six, who stay with them three times per week. Dad suffers from gout and mum suffers from mental health problems. They are both in receipt of Universal Credit. They recently moved into a two bedroom flat and are in need of a wardrobe and chest of drawers which can be provided by a local charity.
