£90 remaining for a washing machine
K is 60 yrs old, with multiple medical and mental health difficulties, and has been unable to work following injuries sustained when she was hit by a car (and for which she is awaiting two surgeries). She is currently dependent on benefits and is in debt. Your support would enable her to replace her washing machine, which has broken down and is irreparable.
B has experienced significant trauma from domestic violence. Unfortunately, the flat mum and her two children are living in has recently suffered a serious infestation of bed bugs, which means they have been forced to get rid of their beds and other furniture. B and her children are now sleeping on camp beds and we would like to be able to purchase mattresses to go along with some bed frames we have been donated. B, who has a low income, receives Universal Credit and some disability benefit. We have submitted a separate request for the single mattresses.
The lady has recently moved to the different council property, but the flat is unfurnished and there are no white goods either. K has struggled for over three months without a refrigerator, washing machine and cooker. She had finally managed to get a used fridge and, thanks to the help of St Vincent de Paul, K will get a washing machine. However, further help is needed with the purchase of a cooker and your help will be greatly appreciated.
M lives with her husband; they both have health problems and are living on benefits. They receive Universal Credit and she gets Personal Independence Payments. Her fridge has broken down and she urgently needs a new one but doesn't have the funds to buy one. It would be wonderful if she could get help towards a new fridge.
