S is fifty one year of age and is a single dad to two children. His partner left him when the children were little and he has done a great job bringing them up. Dad first approached us for support with debts; he was so ashamed as his culture frowns upon people in debt, but he knew he had to get support. S has told me since that it was the best decision he has ever made. He is unable to work, due to a severe disability, and only receives benefits. S's sofa is not fit for purpose and we would love to replace it.
