£150 remaining for a house and garage clearance
This applicant, who is a single mum to a teenager and a one year old child, has no spare money, lives hand to mouth and regularly uses foodbanks. Mum has major anxiety which she is on medication for, as well as other health problems and difficulties. Due to her situation, mum's home has become extremely cluttered and her landlady has asked her to clear it, otherwise she could face eviction. S is not able to manage this herself and doesn't drive so we are supporting her with a company to help with this.
E, a recovering heroin addict who has managed to get her son back, has found a Housing Association flat after a period of homelessness. Her only income is Universal Credit and she has no savings. The new flat has no carpets and E is having issues with poor soundproofing and a neighbour harassing her. Carpeting the flat will make a huge difference to E and we have an offer of free carpets! We just need kind Acts donors to help us with the cost of fitting.
L, who is twenty one years old, has just moved into her first property. She claims Universal Credits, has no savings and has been struggling to afford the main essentials for her house. L has been sleeping on the floor, as she has no bed, even though there is no flooring throughout the house. We have been able to provide a new bed and washing machine, and are hoping, with the help of Acts 435, to be able to help carpet her house. Please can you help with the fitting costs?
We are working closely with a local primary school to support a mum of small children who has been relocated to Bradford from London and has no local family support. Financially, they are struggling and her tenancy agreement does not include an oven, so this is her responsibility, but without the means to find one. Mum opened up about this need at a parent café the school runs to support families.
