£0 remaining for a replacement door lock and keys
J approached the church through our partnership with a local housing association and charity, offering food provision. She was recently locked out of her housing association rented accommodation and has to pay for replacement locks and keys. As a young parent on benefits and struggling to cope financially, this added financial burden is too much for J to cope with. She will appreciate any support that will help with this unexpected expense.
L, who is on a low income, moved into her own flat two years ago and has no carpet down in the bedroom, just a rug given to her by a neighbour. She suffers from anxiety, finding it difficult to talk to people and ask for help. L is finding it hard to keep warm as the floor is concrete. Her mum cannot help as she is in financial debt and struggling with her mental health.
L, who moved into her own flat two years ago, suffers from anxiety and finds it hard to talk to people. She is on a low income, and is need of a hall and landing carpet as the property has has a concrete floor which she mops every day to keep clean. L is in financial debt and so is her mother, so there is nobody to ask for help. A church member took a food parcel and a small heater to help keep her warm, and noticed that there was no flooring.
