£200 remaining for a fridge and a washing machine
This client was referred to us by a partner agency after they managed to source accommodation for him, following him being homeless for the past six months. We have managed to help support this client with decoration and furniture, but he is still in desperate need of a fridge and washing machine. We have managed to source a package deal from a local second-hand shop, but unfortunately, due to low income and debt, he is unable to buy these items. Your support would help him to turn his house into a home and settle in.
Mum is a single parent of three children under five years old. The family has moved to a new property where there is no cooker and she has limited finances. Mum suffers with poor mental health and has recently been physically unwell. The family is isolated and mum is struggling to manage the meal times with no cooker. There is a separate Acts 435 request to cover the cost of the gas cooker. This request is for the installation and delivery costs. Please could you help? Thank you.
A lovely mum that Safe Families are supporting would like to get a cabin bed for her daughter, who is six years old and on the pathway for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Mum struggles with anxiety and is also struggling financially. There isn't much space in the daughter's bedroom, and so mum feels that having a cabin bed would enable more space and also make space for a sensory area under the bed for her daughter to be in. Please could you help this family? Thank you.
F was working until, unfortunately, he received a cancer diagnosis earlier this year. He moved into temporary accommodation, as he was unable to afford the rent after having to give up work. F has been offered a property with a social landlord and is in need of carpets throughout. The funding would go towards carpeting one room so that he can be in some comfort whilst his treatment is ongoing. F is awaiting a decision on a Personal Independence Payment claim submitted with MacMillan.
