£200 remaining for an electric cooker
After suffering many years of domestic violence, S finally found the strength to leave with her two teenage children, and received support from the police and Social Services. She was moved to a house which had a lot of issues with the neighbours, and was totally unsuitable for a young family. S is in the process of moving to her forever home and the children are very excited. She has told me that she just wants to live a peaceful life, but she cannot afford to replace her broken cooker out of her benefits!
Mum is a single parent of three children under five years old. The family has moved to a new property where there is no cooker and she has limited finances. Mum suffers with poor mental health and has recently been physically unwell. The family is isolated and mum is struggling to manage the meal times with no cooker. There is a separate Acts 435 request to cover the cost of the gas cooker. This request is for the installation and delivery costs. Please could you help? Thank you.
This single mum, who is caring for her two children, has been through a really difficult time recently. She has really poor mental health which means that every day tasks are too much. Mum has asked for a tumble dryer to help keep on top of the washing for her and her children. Due to the children being young, and with limited space, mum was really worried about the children touching the heated airer, and was really keen for a tumble dryer. Please could you help this family? Thank you so much.
A lovely mum that Safe Families are supporting would like to get a cabin bed for her daughter, who is six years old and on the pathway for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Mum struggles with anxiety and is also struggling financially. There isn't much space in the daughter's bedroom, and so mum feels that having a cabin bed would enable more space and also make space for a sensory area under the bed for her daughter to be in. Please could you help this family? Thank you.
