£145 remaining for a baby pram and a cot
R is due to have a baby at the end of January. She has no recourse to public funds and has no income coming in at the moment as she has recently fled Domestic Violence. The church and other charities have helped with baby clothes and bottles, and R is using food banks. R struggles to speak English and had no family to help. Your support to buy a pram and a cot for her new baby would be much appreciated.
Please can we help this man who has just split up from his wife after fifty years? He has been forced to find accommodation through the local council, but has no money for a carpet or floor fitter. This man is a pensioner and has no spare cash after everything is paid. Please can you help with this need for a bedroom and kitchen carpet?
D, who is thirty six years of age and has two little girls, works part-time on a zero hours contract as a carer in the community. He always tries to pick up any extra hours, but has to do the school run so this can be difficult for him. D`s mattress is very worn; the springs are poking out of the mattress and it is very lumpy so he is getting very little sleep unless he sleeps on a two-seater sofa! D cannot afford to replace his mattress and bedding, but with your help we can do this. Thank you!
Mum works part-time and has two children. She just didn't know where to turn to for help when her fridge freezer suddenly stopped working, and one of her colleagues signposted her to us. Mum feels very ashamed to ask for help, as she is working and trying to get by, but I have explained that even people who are working are really struggling. This didn't ease her guilt, but she was overcome with emotion when I explained how Acts 435 works. Mum then told me she lives from pay to pay with no room for error.
