£150 remaining for a sofa
S, a forty six year old single mother, who is a survivor of domestic abuse, has multiple medical problems, physical disabilities and some mental health difficulties. She is the primary carer for her elderly mother. S is dependent on benefits and has been struggling to keep up with essentials, due to the cost of living. Her sofa is falling apart and she has no comfortable place to sit. A donation will help S to purchase a replacement.
H, who has a strong faith, is originally from Ethiopia. She is desperate for a fridge freezer to store her medications for an ongoing health condition. She is unable to work, due to her health, and has no other family, apart from her daughter, who is unable to help financially due to her age. Your donations will go towards the final cost of the fridge freezer. Thank you.
P had to leave her previous accommodation, due to personal safety issues, and lost all her belongings in the process. She is unable to work, due to mental and physical health problems, including sciatica and arthritis. P awaits the outcome of her Personal Independence Payment application. A washing machine would assist greatly with the physical and financial challenges associated with using a launderette, improve her quality of life and thus help her have the strength to deal with her situation.
M is a care leaver, supported by the government because she is a full-time student so is not able to work. She has been housed in a studio but only has a bed. She has been given many household items but still needs a sofa. She has no family in the country to support her.
