£0 remaining for a mobile phone
Our client, who is an asylum seeker from Eritrea, came to London in June 2022 because it was not safe in her country. Mum, who has a daughter aged twelve months old, does not have any money as she only receives £8 a week. She needs a phone to make appointments for herself and her daughter and to use the map to find directions. Our client's phone was stolen in Tooting and she submitted a police report in June 2024, but has not been able to save to buy a phone.
A is a young, single mum to two children under three years of age who needs support with food and electricity bills. Due to the benefit cap and health issues, she is struggling to buy basic supplies which has created financial and emotional strain. This support would provide assistance with heating, food, toiletries and essential cleaning products to help the family maintain a safe, clean and healthy environment. Your assistance would offer much-needed relief during this challenging time.
L is a single parent with a six year old son who is renting a room with a shared bathroom and kitchen. Mum, who came to the UK to escape sexual violence, and is HIV positive, has no recourse to public funds. The rooms are damp and inadequately heated, which exacerbates her health problems, so having heating that she can control would greatly improve their wellbeing. The only saucepan in the kitchen is small and L would like to be able to bulk cook their meals for the week, as she is keen to improve their diet.
A, her mum and teenage sister were trafficked and A was a victim of modern slavery and sexual assault. She is receiving treatment for her trauma. The family are reliant on benefits at the moment and struggling to make ends meet with the high cost of housing. They currently have a very thin and unsuitable double mattress to sleep on and would really benefit from a better one in order to get a good night's sleep. Many thanks for your support.
