£120 remaining for birth certificates
This lady has had to flee domestic violence quickly with her five children. They have had to travel a long distance and have been housed in a bed and breakfast for some time now. They have been offered permanent accommodation in their preferred area near support networks, but mum needs to obtain birth certificates for her and the children to secure this. Given the situation, finances have been tough and she cannot afford the outlay for this.
This lady has had an ongoing financial battle for a while, with relationship breakdown and business failure during Covid both being significant factors. One of her two children has severe mental health struggles and it has been as much as she can deal with to care for them. Thankfully she has had some major breakthroughs lately in this situation and has had the space to address her debt difficulties. She has the opportunity of a fresh start through bankruptcy which this funding, if raised, will go towards.
J is a homeless man who is working with his housing officer to try and find somewhere to live. He hasn't been able to for quite a while despite trying his best. He is currently sleeping in a tent in a field but he only has a sleeping bag suitable for spring/summer not the winter temperatures or freezing cold. This will make sure he's able to survive the freezing cold temperatures of winter whilst trying to find somewhere to live.
C is currently off work because of health issues including poor mental health. She has a 16 year old son who has had a growth spurt and outgrown his school uniform, football boots and his current clothing. He is in trouble at school for not having football boots. The washing machine also recently malfunctioned, damaging a full wash of her clothing too. C has just started working with Christians Against Poverty and doesn't have spare money for replacement clothes or size 10 football boots.
