£0 remaining for baby clothes, nappies, a crib and a set of drawers
W is a pregnant mum of three and a master at making ends meet on the small salary she receives from her job as a teaching assistant. The family has been through a traumatic time, as W's partner has just returned home after six months in hospital, following a series of strokes. He is still very weak, but the prospect of a new baby has given him hope and motivation to get better. The family needs help to buy furniture, clothes and nappies for the baby. Thank you for your generosity.
This single mum attended our foodbank and spoke with our advisor. Mum and her eighteen month old son have just been allocated their first property. Currently managing on benefits, she hopes to soon get a job again. This lady has been very proactive in looking at different ways to afford things, but now she is living alone and is feeling the stress of the financial burden that comes with that. £200 would enable her to choose a sofa and cushions that suit their needs and makes it feel more like home.
S moved into a council property on her own in July this year, having previously been homeless. However, when she moved into the property, it was unfurnished and, as S is on a low income and has various health issues, she has had difficulty affording to furnish it. Your support towards a wardrobe would really help her.
This lady is single with an eleven year old son. They have lived in a one-bedroom property for years, but have now been allocated a two bedroom property. They both have health issues and are both on disability benefits. The property comes with laminate flooring, but mum is worried about it being cold. Her son has also outgrown his bed, which I know is far too small for him. It would be really helpful if she could have your support to buy him a new bed.
