£0 remaining for a cooker
M is Ukrainian and moved to England via 'Homes for Ukraine.' He was accepted for an ice hockey scholarship in America, but unfortunately, was refused the 'right to remain' and returned to the UK after nine months. M's original host family was not able to re-house him so he moved in with some friends, but this was not suitable as their home was overcrowded. M was referred to our supported accommodation in April 2024 and has progressed well to the point he is at now, moving to his own flat. This support would help M to obtain a cooker which would enable him to cook healthy meals.

T, who has recently moved from shared living arrangements to his own home, is currently waiting for support regarding housing benefits and a reduction in Council Tax. As a Universal Credit recipient, he is unable to afford a fridge freezer, which results in frequent and expensive grocery shopping trips. Could you assist this young man by providing him with the means to keep his food chilled and help him manage his budget more effectively by freezing meals?
J came to the charity to ask for food support for the first time, as he recently got asked to go self-employed by his employer. He agreed to this action, but has now found himself with no work and no pay until February 2025. This has added stress to his young family who are unable to manage with no money. We have helped J to make a Universal Credit claim; however, the process time to receive this is long, meaning he will not be able to pay rent and bills. All support will be greatly received.
