£0 remaining for flooring
We are supporting this family consisting of mum, a teenage son and two young children. The teenage son has had issues with school and has been persistently absent, causing mum to pay absence fines. As a result, she is not able to pay for basic repairs to the family home, following a significant leak, due to not working because of an ongoing back issue. Professionals are concerned about home conditions and feel that new flooring is needed to provide a safe place for the children to play.
This woman, who is battling Parkinson’s disease and has gone through a relationship breakdown, is now in a refuge with little more than a few clothes. She has endured significant hardship and urgently needs support to acquire warm clothing and bedding as she works to rebuild her life. Your assistance will provide her with the essentials for comfort and dignity during this challenging time.
T, who has recently moved from shared living arrangements to his own home, is currently waiting for support regarding housing benefits and a reduction in Council Tax. As a Universal Credit recipient, he is unable to afford a fridge freezer, which results in frequent and expensive grocery shopping trips. Could you assist this young man by providing him with the means to keep his food chilled and help him manage his budget more effectively by freezing meals?
J came to the charity to ask for food support for the first time, as he recently got asked to go self-employed by his employer. He agreed to this action, but has now found himself with no work and no pay until February 2025. This has added stress to his young family who are unable to manage with no money. We have helped J to make a Universal Credit claim; however, the process time to receive this is long, meaning he will not be able to pay rent and bills. All support will be greatly received.
