£120 remaining for food and energy costs
B and his partner suffer with mental health problems and receive Universal Credit. They had to leave their flat and go and stay with friends after he was attacked and robbed, and they were left with no money to cover their living expenses. Their friends have said they can no longer support them and they must return home, but they have no food and no credit left for gas and electricity. Help with food and energy costs to tide them over till their next benefits payment would be much appreciated.
Q is a refugee who fled Syria and has been given the right to remain in the UK. His only income is Universal Credit and he has no savings or family to support him. Q has recently secured independent accommodation, but has no furniture, carpets or anything for the property. We have an offer to carpet Q's flat free of charge, but need your help with the fitting cost. Any support given would be amazing.
V, who is currently staying in a refuge, has been allocated her own home after seven months in temporary accommodation. She suffers with her mental health, anxiety and depression, and also has severe asthma. Her only income is Universal Credit and she has no savings. V's new home has no carpets down and she is worried that this will effect her asthma and mental health, especially as, in the winter months when the weather is cold, her health is impacted and worsens. Any help would be gratefully received.
S is a single mother who is living on benefits and has been working with Christians Against Poverty for some time. She has two young children and is unable to buy a uniform for one of them. S would appreciate help for her child to be able to go to school in the appropriate school wear. Thank you.
