£200 remaining for a cooker
N is a single parent and suffers from depression. Her cooker has broken. She has applied to Universal Credit for an advanced payment but has been told that because she has a mortgage and doesn’t claim Housing Benefit she cannot have help with household items. She claims Universal Credit and is awaiting a Personal Independence Plan assessment. Due to paying off other debt and having to do repairs to the house she has not been able to save any money and cannot afford a cooker.
A cooker is needed for M who has had surgery on both arms and is awaiting financial support/income to be organised from Personal Independence Payment. M is an asylum seeker who has been granted leave to remain and is hoping to start studies this September but needs cooking facilities in order to remain independent.
Please can you support this family by providing some donations towards a new mattress for mum who is caring for her two children. She is struggling with her mental health and struggling financially. Mum is currently using a ruined mattress and is sleeping on springs. Having a new mattress would mean the world to her and would help her to get a good night's sleep. Thank you.
This family are living in an asylum seeking house after fleeing their home country due to the war. The family have a very small budget to split between six (soon to be seven) family members. This family are struggling with storage for clothing/other household items and mum is due to give birth to a baby soon. Having this chest of drawers would help with keeping the house clean, tidy and a safe environment as well as keep clothing/items organised for the new baby. Please could you help? Thank you.
