£200 remaining for a new fridge freezer
F has managed to exit sex work. She has found faith in God which was planted at an early age in foster care. Having lived in two city hostels where she engaged with services and a counsellor, she has now secured a council flat. Life has not been easy for her, but she is doing really well and is cleans from drugs. She just needs a few bits for her flat and a fridge/freezer would make life so much better. F is on Universal Credit and can't work at the present time due to a health condition.
G has been in our supported accommodation for five years this month, but has finally been awarded a flat through a housing association. He has a disability and is signed off long-term sick and is on benefits. G doesn't have much money put aside to buy all he needs for his new flat, so would appreciate donations for a bed and wardrobe for the property. He has found a charity shop where he is hoping to buy them from if he receives the donation.
Our family of two parents and three children are moving out of their privately rented property due to dampness, to another more suitable property. Although both parents work hard in the Health Care Service, their income level is still low in relation to their out-goings. They have no recourse to any benefits or entitlement to social housing. The St. Vincent de Paul Society is supporting the family in several aspects, including the move. Could you help by contributing towards removal costs?
T is a young woman who has done a security course and begun working in a full time job for a while. She has autism and struggled to manage a full time job and having the stamina to be on her feet all day. She wants to do the CCTV training so she can do a less physically taxing job so she can successfully work and earn a living. The total course cost is £250 through, and she has been told her family could support her with the rest of the cost.
