£0 remaining for a fridge freezer
S, a single man who has his adult son living at home with him, has health issues and medications which need to kept refrigerated. His current fridge freezer is old and the fridge has stopped working. It cannot be repaired so S is asking for support to be able to purchase a new one. He is on benefits with no savings and being supported by his local foodbank. Any help to support S in his need would be very much appreciated. Thank you.
J is a single mum to her eighteen year old daughter, who is also her carer. They both struggle with their mental health and mum has a lot of complex medical needs. Their washing machine has broken and they are currently washing their clothes by hand, which is difficult for J, due to her chronic back pain. They receive a small amount of money from their social worker, but don't have enough money to replace the machine. Any financial support towards a replacement would be gratefully received.
P, who lives with her fifteen year old daughter, has been abused by her ex-partner, who is a violent alcoholic and manipulated his way into her home. The police destroyed the front door during a raid on the house and it is now boarded up, but needs replacing, however, P works on a minimum wage and has no savings as her ex-partner has taken her money. The replacement door will cost £768. £500 has been secured from the council and the church will contribute £68, but P is desperate for the remaining £200 to make her home safe.
S has worked hard to get to a point that he is ready to regain his independence. He could really benefit from some extra lessons before taking his test later this year. S is desperate to get his driving licence to open his job opportunities, as he has previously worked in highway maintenance and would like to get back into this sector. With employment, this will really set S on the road to be able to secure and maintain accommodation. Each lesson is an hour and a half long, and this will cover 4 lessons.
