£0 remaining for carpet fitting
Q is a refugee who fled Syria and has been given the right to remain in the UK. His only income is Universal Credit and he has no savings or family to support him. Q has recently secured independent accommodation, but has no furniture, carpets or anything for the property. We have an offer to carpet Q's flat free of charge, but need your help with the fitting cost. Any support given would be amazing.
A Nigerian asylum-seeking woman living in Leeds has been given an chance for a 5-week training course to help towards employment as she awaits a positive decision on her asylum claim. She receives less than £50 per week on an Aspen card for food, clothing and toiletries, and receives some help from Meeting Point, but has no money to pay for public transport. Please can you help her with the cost of a a weekly buss pass for the next 5 weeks, so she might have the chance to study and progress in her hopes for her new life in the UK?
A, his wife and three children have recently been granted leave to stay in the UK. They have recently moved out of temporary accommodation and into their own home. They are starting from scratch with nothing, have no savings and their only income is Universal Credit. The house has no floor coverings down in any of the rooms, and it's cold and a little unsafe for the children. We have an offer of free carpets but need a little help with the fitting costs.
M is working full time but he is on a low income. He has a wife and three children to support but is struggling to make ends meet, especially with the cost of living pressures. They moved into their home nearly 2 years ago and still have not been able to afford carpets. The house is cold, damp and expensive to heat. We have an amazing offer of free carpets but we need a little help with the cost of fitting (help that would be so gratefully received).
