P, who has fled domestic abuse with two young children, is homeless in a temporary hotel and will be moving into rented housing next week. She is being supported by domestic abuse charities and local authority housing. Struggling financially, P has just made a claim for Universal Credit, but receives no income currently. Due to financial abuse, she is unable to access joint funds and has had debt run up in her name without her knowledge.
