£0 remaining for flooring
K lived in a privately rented flat which was damp and in disrepair, due to landlord inaction. He was forced to move in with his brother who, whilst arguing, threatened him with a knife. K became homeless and was placed in temporary housing, but was unable to have his son to stay with him. He suffers with his mental health and obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), which has worsened. K has been offered a permanent flat where he can settle and have his son to stay, but he needs some flooring for his new house to make it a home.
K needs a new oven, as her old one is broken. With very poor health, her benefits were massively reduced and she is trying to contest this. K cannot afford to replace her oven, due to a very low income, and her and the two children have to make do with microwave meals until the stove can be repaired. An air-fryer will enable mum to cook better meals in a way she can physically manage and be more cost-effective to run. K is doing a lot to help change her situation, but this will be a big boost!
L was pregnant and told she would have to sleep in her car as there was no accommodation for her. After giving birth, and a short stay in temporary accommodation, she now has a flat, but it's unfurnished. L's baby is under ten weeks old and she needs to be able to cook warm, nutritious meals to ensure she has the energy to supply the milk her baby needs, and care for him as best she can. They are doing everything they can to improve their situation, but the cost of furnishing a whole flat is too much!
S is a thirty six year old woman who is currently working hard on her recovery in order for her children, who are currently in foster care, to be returned to her. She is having counselling, accessing other support services and working to make the house safe for the children to return to. We are asking for money for S to hire a skip to remove items from the home. She is rebuilding her life and is showing great commitment in doing this. Your support would further add to S's ability to move forward
