£0 remaining for a fridge freezer
P, who has been a drug user for most of his life, hasn't previously been able to keep a stable home and this has stopped him from coming off the drugs. He now has a stable home and is being supported with a methadone recovery programme, but his home doesn't have a fridge freezer. P has serious heart and circulation problems, which make trips to the shop for food very difficult. A fridge freezer would mean he could stock up and shop less often, which would make a huge difference to his daily life.
B is recovering from past drug abuse and has moved to a new flat after his previous property was taken over by a drugs gang for growing cannabis. Everything he owned was destroyed and police advised that it was unsafe for him to return. B has moved into his new home with nothing and has no money until his Universal Credit payments are sorted out, early next month. He has nothing to equip his kitchen and would be grateful for help to buy a fridge freezer so that he can store fresh and frozen food.
C has five children and receives Universal Credit and Personal Independence Payments, due to a brain condition that can affect her mobility, along with other debilitating symptoms. The local council has refitted her kitchen, but have removed her gas cooker which they deemed unsafe. This has left C with no means of cooking meals for her family. She would like to replace it with an electric cooker, but money is very tight and she cannot afford to pay for it herself. Your help would be much appreciated.
M has moved into her own property for the first time, but is struggling to furnish it as she has no furniture of her own. She is on Universal Credit which barely covers her daily living costs. Your support to buy a cooker would mean that M could cook and eat properly as she saves for other items that she needs, as well as reducing her expenditure by allowing her to cook and eat for herself more affordably.
