This young, single mother recently moved into new, unfurnished accommodation with her child, due to domestic violence. Initially they slept on blow up beds without any bedding or other items for the flat. Mum receives Universal Credit and low rate Personal Independence Payment, but her single support grant was declined. Mum has now exhausted her benefits to purchase essential items for the flat. A sofa would enable her to sit and relax, snuggled up with her toddler, and make the place more homely.
