£0 remaining for an electric cooker
J is thirty four years old has just been given a tenancy agreement after going through rehabilitation for the last year. He is so proud of himself for overcoming his drink problem and getting this chance of a fresh start. J is on benefits so cannot afford to buy very much. His friend has helped him buy some bits, but he desperately needs a cooker. He loves to cook and this is a good distraction for him, and keeps him busy. Please could you help him find his love for cooking again? Thank you!
Mum is a single parent of three children under five years old. The family has moved to a new property where there is no cooker and she has limited finances. Mum suffers with poor mental health and has recently been physically unwell. The family is isolated and mum is struggling to manage the meal times with no cooker. There is a separate Acts 435 request to cover the cost of the gas cooker. This request is for the installation and delivery costs. Please could you help? Thank you.
Mum is a single parent who has three girls, one with high health needs. The family is very isolated with no friends in the area and mum does not have positive support from family members. She deals with finances on her own and struggles with this at times. With a previous Acts 435 request, we were able to fund the cost of the cooker, but mum has requested help with the installation costs as she is unable to afford it. Please could you help this family? Thank you.
F was working until, unfortunately, he received a cancer diagnosis earlier this year. He moved into temporary accommodation, as he was unable to afford the rent after having to give up work. F has been offered a property with a social landlord and is in need of carpets throughout. The funding would go towards carpeting one room so that he can be in some comfort whilst his treatment is ongoing. F is awaiting a decision on a Personal Independence Payment claim submitted with MacMillan.
