Give to someone in need
Acts 435 is about giving to people directly, to help them bridge the gap when they are facing a financial crisis.
Can you help a specific person in need?
Read stories of the applicants below and give as you feel able. Any amount will make a big difference to someone who is struggling.
You can instead make a general donation and the Acts 435 team will allocate it to the most urgent requests.
L is father of a 14 month old boy, and is expecting a baby daughter with his partner on New Year’s Eve. Their only household income is Universal Credit. Their flat is provided by the council and has suffered damp and mould problems which has affected their furniture, including beds and carpets. They are worried about the living room carpet, which now needs replacing for safety reasons, particularly ahead of the arrival of the new baby. Any contributions to a new carpet would be greatly appreciated.
Still £160 left to donate
Total needed £160This client suffers from extreme anxiety and Asperger's Syndrome, and has been living in a mental health rehabilitation project for the past two years. He is now ready to move on and has been offered an unfurnished council tenancy. This client has never lived independently before and has no household goods to help equip his new home. He works for a charity part-time and his low wage will not meet the cost of the items needed. Your help towards the cost of a fridge freezer would be very much appreciated.
