Give to someone in need
Acts 435 is about giving to people directly, to help them bridge the gap when they are facing a financial crisis.
Can you help a specific person in need?
Read stories of the applicants below and give as you feel able. Any amount will make a big difference to someone who is struggling.
You can instead make a general donation and the Acts 435 team will allocate it to the most urgent requests.
A has recently moved into his first flat following release from prison. He has got nearly all of the furniture needed, but does not have an oven or a sofa. He is saving for this, but we would like to help him with these items for him and his family to help get life back on track.
Still £120 left to donate
Total needed £200Please can you help this young lady who has been a victim of domestic violence and is now having a fresh start in a new area. She has no family support and is suffering from debilitating mental health problems. She is on Universal Credit. She has nothing to cook on and her microwave has now broken too. We have sourced a new cooker and microwave at a good price and she would be very grateful if you could help her purchase them which would really make a difference to her quality of life. Thank you.
Still £140 left to donate
Total needed £160B, who has been out of jail for three months and is sofa surfing, is working on her relationship with her children and is walking two hours each way to see them on a Saturday and Sunday. She would love to have a bike, and Acts 435 did provide a bike for this applicant a few years ago, but all her belongings were lost when she went to prison. A bike would make it much easier to see the children, and there is a local bike hub who could provide one for £100.
Still £100 left to donate
Total needed £100A has been in recovery from alcohol dependency for twelve months and is doing really well rebuilding his life. He tells me that he had to leave the recovery home a month early, as his wife moved on to another man and left two teenage boys to fend for themselves. The home they are living is in desperate need of decorating, so it would be lovely if we could help him with funds to decorate a room, as he is trying so hard to make a home for the three of them to live in.
