Give to someone in need
Acts 435 is about giving to people directly, to help them bridge the gap when they are facing a financial crisis.
Can you help a specific person in need?
Read stories of the applicants below and give as you feel able. Any amount will make a big difference to someone who is struggling.
You can instead make a general donation and the Acts 435 team will allocate it to the most urgent requests.

Mum, who is a single parent to her son, is very isolated and doesn't have any friends or family to turn to for support. She is struggling financially as she has had to give up work in order to care for her son. Mum would love to buy some new clothes for her and her son, especially as the weather gets colder. She doesn't like leaving the house in the same clothes and feels that she is being judged. This would help to build up mum's confidence and happiness. Please could you help? Thank you.

Total needed £200Mum, who is caring for her four children who are all under the age of four, is struggling financially after recently separating from her partner. Her two year old son is currently being assessed for an Autism diagnosis. He is able to climb over the current stairgates, which is causing mum to be worried and concerned around keeping him safe. Mum would like to install tall safety gates in the home that he wouldn't be able to climb over, keeping him and the other children safe. Thank you.

Total needed £100C is a single mum who has fled domestic violence and has been given a flat after being homeless, but is waiting for her benefits to be processed. She needs a carpet for the living room, which has a concrete floor and mum is worried that the little one will fall and bang their head. This would cause stress, as her ex-partner would accuse her of neglect if he found out. The family cannot help as they are struggling themselves.

Total needed £200This young mum is in need of clothes and nappies for her three year old who has special needs. The family members are from Bulgaria and speak only a little English so are finding work is hard. Dad has found some work on a zero hours contract, but as the family does not yet have settled status, they are not entitled to any benefits. Being able to buy new clothes for their son would mean that he can be kept warm during the winter season, and nappies would keep him dry and comfortable. Please can you offer help to this family?

Total needed £80E, a single mum to two teenagers, is getting used to relying on benefits after a string of bad luck. She had three people drive into her within two weeks of starting a new, well paid job. This has left her with physical and emotional health difficulties. The car was also written off, which left her unable to travel to work, meaning she lost her job and can no longer afford the repayments on her debts. E is working with us to mange her money and get back into work. Please can you help us support her over Christmas with a food voucher and utilities?
