Give to someone in need
Acts 435 is about giving to people directly, to help them bridge the gap when they are facing a financial crisis.
Can you help a specific person in need?
Read stories of the applicants below and give as you feel able. Any amount will make a big difference to someone who is struggling.
You can instead make a general donation and the Acts 435 team will allocate it to the most urgent requests.
B is a recently single mom of three children. She has managed to rent a small flat and needs to buy a second hand bunk bed for the children, because there is not enough space in the room to fit two beds. B lives on a limited income, so she needs your help to be able to afford the bunk beds.
Still £70 left to donate
Total needed £200K fled her home country with her mother who she cares for. Her mother has complex health issues and is dependent on K for most of her daily needs. A sewing machine would help bring K joy, peace and a sense of accomplishment to her daily routine. K enjoys creating new patterns and styles. She is on Universal Credit so has little money for anything outside of essentials.
Still £150 left to donate
Total needed £150Z, who has arrived in the UK from Iran, would like to have a sewing machine. She is unable to afford most clothing items and would like to make them herself, as well as mend her children outfits. She is also wanting to spend her time in sewing, as it keeps her occupied and help her to feel better in herself, rather than feeling bored and depressed. Z is on Universal Credit so couldn't afford one otherwise.
