Give to someone in need
Acts 435 is about giving to people directly, to help them bridge the gap when they are facing a financial crisis.
Can you help a specific person in need?
Read stories of the applicants below and give as you feel able. Any amount will make a big difference to someone who is struggling.
You can instead make a general donation and the Acts 435 team will allocate it to the most urgent requests.
R has cancer and had to go to Manchester for Proton Beam Laser Therapy. A previous request to Acts 435 paid for his travel to and from Birmingham. Sadly, the treatment did not work and the tumour has grown, invading his spinal column and causing his skin to die leaving craters on his body. He receives palliative care and has gone home to be with his daughter and granddaughter. He needs a memory foam mattress to cope with the state of his skin and as he can only lie on his right hand side.
Still £165 left to donate
Total needed £165C, who is self-employed, is a single mum to her teenage son since his dad passed away in 2018. Mum recently had to have her gall bladder removed and is currently recovering from this surgery. This has, unfortunately, resulted in a limited capacity for work and obviously limited earnings. Last night her washing machine packed in. C is able to put some money towards replacing it, but would be grateful if donors could help her with the balance. She wants to avoid getting into debt.
Still £200 left to donate
Total needed £200E is a single mother with three children who are living in a council accommodation. She has recently been diagnosed with cancer in her neck, which has now been removed. On Friday, mum returned to the hospital for radio-therapy. As a result, she needs to sleep apart from her children (in the living room), to protect them from the radiation she is emitting. A sofa-bed is necessary to protect E's children and give her peace of mind.
Still £200 left to donate
