Give to someone in need
Acts 435 is about giving to people directly, to help them bridge the gap when they are facing a financial crisis.
Can you help a specific person in need?
Read stories of the applicants below and give as you feel able. Any amount will make a big difference to someone who is struggling.
You can instead make a general donation and the Acts 435 team will allocate it to the most urgent requests.
E, who had a very difficult childhood, came to the UK and her immigration status was not resolved until recently. She was mainly homeless until recently, and has applied to the Home Office for leave to remain, using a fee waiver. This has been granted and E is able to claim Universal Credit. She moved out of a hostel into social housing accommodation earlier this year and is struggling to find the funds to purchase flooring for her living room and hallway. E would appreciate your support with this.
Still £180 left to donate
Total needed £180This lady who used substances has now stopped. She does not work, due to mental health issues including depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder and borderline personality disorder. This lady has a rented property and is on benefits. However, there are no carpets in the property and she is unable to purchase them. This lady is soon to have a baby and we want them to be warm and comfortable. We can get carpets free of charge, but just need a little help with fitting costs. Praying our generous Acts 435 donors will help her.
Still £200 left to donate
Total needed £200E is a single mother of three children, one of whom has special needs. She has been rehoused, following difficulties with her partner, and has been struggling with debts. The carpets in the new home are in a very poor state and we would like to help E fit new carpets to the stairs and lounge. Mum has recently been in hospital, but hopes, once recovered, to resume her part-time job to support the family. E would be very grateful for your support in making a fresh start in her new home.
