Give to someone in need
Acts 435 is about giving to people directly, to help them bridge the gap when they are facing a financial crisis.
Can you help a specific person in need?
Read stories of the applicants below and give as you feel able. Any amount will make a big difference to someone who is struggling.
You can instead make a general donation and the Acts 435 team will allocate it to the most urgent requests.
T is a former 'Homes for Ukraine' guest who secured social housing in Ilkley. A number of residents were gifted furniture packages by the housing provider, but they were then taken over by a new provider who started charging an unaffordable monthly fee for the furniture and had to return it. T's most urgent need is for a fridge freezer so that she can keep food fresh. She is living off Universal Credit which only just covers her daily living costs, and has no access to savings.
Still £115 left to donate
Total needed £175L became homeless after being made redundant, and the breakdown of his relationship, which greatly affected his mental health. He has now secured a new property which he is hoping to make home, but it is unfurnished. He has managed to obtain a few items through donations and grants, but doesn't have a washing machine. As L has been homeless and unemployed, he has no savings, and his benefits only just cover daily living costs, so he can't afford to purchase one himself.
