F has had extensive surgery to his jaw bone due to cancer and will be allowed home next week from hospital. Unfortunately, because the surgery involved removing bone from his legs to reconstruct his jaw bone, he is unable to go upstairs. He and his wife would like to have a double bed downstairs so they will not have to sleep separately. Please help this couple to live a more normal life at this stressful time.
This young family recently moved into a new home after living in supported housing. They have 3 children under the age of 4, and the middle child has just started toddling around. The floor is bare concrete; the cheapest flooring option is around £100 and they have no disposable income at present. One child has fallen on the concrete floor a couple times and parents are concerned he might really hurt himself, and also the other children are walking on the concrete which is hard to keep clean.
This young man has been waiting 5 years for suitable housing to become available. We are thrilled that he has now been found a flat and has the chance of a fresh start. The only thing the needs to make his new flat cosy is something to sit on, and he would be very grateful for your help.
This lovely single mum is 8 months into treatment for cancer. She does an amazing job of caring for her two young girls. Her life would be made just that bit easier if she could cut down on some of the mundane household chores. We are therefore asking if you could contribute towards a dishwasher for her. Thank you.
S had to leave home at 15 and has had no contact since. Due to an abusive relationship she ended up in a Women's Hostel with a young baby. She has done very well living in fully furnished supported housing, learning to cook and look after a home and her baby. She has now been moved on to an unfurnished house and independent living. She has a part time job in the care industry. She receives Universal Credit and child benefit. She has sourced furniture but desperately needs a cooker. Please can you help.
