£90 needed for a fridge freezer

S is currently living in a winter let in Porthtowan and is somewhat isolated. She is moving into a 2 bedroom property in the new year but has no furniture at all. Her baby is due in April and would like to set up home before then. S has no family here in Cornwall. We are supporting her with midwife appointments and benefit applications. Having a fridge freezer to keep food in for herself and her child would prove to be a valuable item of furniture. We are sourcing other items from donations. Many thanks.

£100 needed for a cooker

This married couple have struggled financially since she was refused her Personal Independence Payments following an assessment a few weeks ago. They were distraught to find their cooker has failed just before Christmas and would love to replace it. We are working with them to improve their living conditions and know it would be a real boost for them to have a working cooker before Christmas. Thank you.

£90 needed for a washing machine

Having been homeless both on the streets and sofas for the last 30 years, this man has now secured a tenancy with the support of the Council. He is awaiting a Personal Independence Payment assessment, and so is having to meet his bills and equip his new accommodation from his initial Universal Credit payments. As a church, we are hoping to help in terms of furniture and clothing. He is excited at this new start and would greatly benefit from a washing machine. Thank you.
