£150 needed for a bed and wardrobe

H has three young children and is struggling to make ends meet on her Universal Credit payments. Her son's bed frame has broken and he is now sleeping on just a mattress. The doors on his wardrobe have also broken and left it unusable. H has no spare money to be able to buy anything to replace it but a gift of £150 would allow her to buy a second hand bed and small wardrobe for his room.

N is a regular attender at our Food Larder cafes every week. He has serious mental health challenges and is diagnosed with bi-polar disorder. His sleep is being seriously disrupted due to the very poor mattress on which he sleeps and the springs digging into the frame make things very uncomfortable! N receives Universal Credit and would appreciate help in purchasing a new mattress plus bedding as he is not in a position to be able to purchase one himself.

£150 needed for a cooker

A local community is hosting a family of eight Ukranians who are due to arrive this week. They are creating a home for them in place that was used to teach English so it needs a cooker urgently. A local store has promised a discount but it is expensive. These people are so precious that they gave their own bedding, which I discovered when we turned up with bedding for the families. They know how to love and give selflessly!

£150 needed for a washing machine

This vulnerable family of eight includes an autistic son and multiple members of their family living with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. They currently have £100 a week after their rent and bills. We have so much admiration for this family who serve the community even though they themselves are so much in need. They may have their car taken away which will make life very difficult as they drive their son to a special school for his autism. Their washing machine has broken and they need a new one urgently.

N is on Universal Credit and was rehoused a year ago, following a marriage breakdown. The flat had nothing in it in the way of furnishings and he has spent the last year trying to get things together for himself. N has lived for a year on microwave meals and is in great need of an electric cooker. He would be so grateful if money could be given to enable him to purchase one.
