U and her husband have just moved out of temporary housing and have worked really hard to source furniture etc for the new place. They both work, but funds are so tight there isn't a penny to spare. They have managed to find a second hand washing machine but cannot find a way to save/afford it. They have 2 small children and have managed to support themselves so far without claiming any benefits. They work so hard and would be so grateful to receive the funds for the washing machine.
This gentleman is on benefits due to chronic arthritis. His teenage daughter visits him at weekends but he desperately needs a new cooker as the existing one only has one working ring. He is going through a rough period at the moment having had a water leak from an upstairs flat and a broken washing machine. Please help him offer proper meals to his daughter and let him know that he is not alone.
This young lady with mental health issues has been without a fridge for six months, consequently her diet has suffered as she has no way of storing fresh food. Her illness prevents her working and because of a problem with her benefits application hasn't received all she is due. A fridge freezer would mean she would be able to store food, which would save her money, ease her anxiety and she could eat healthy meals. She is very grateful for any donations.
L has been homeless, sofa surfing or on the streets for 20 months. The local Council has found him a flat which he has now moved into, but he only has a mattress and a microwave. He is on benefits as he is unable to work due to physical and mental health problems. The local Church has supplied a second hand cooker and fridge. We are seeking £120 to pay for a second hand table and chairs and a better mattress.
