J has issues with physical and mental health and is living off benefits. Her husband has recently left her and she has to care for her 2 small children. Debts have been mounting up and now her washing machine has broken beyond repair. Her parents have been helping out but now their washing machine has broken. It would make such a difference to have a reliable washer and relieve one of the pressures on this lady.
V has been supporting her grown up daughter through physical and mental health issues and now that her husband has left her. She is semi-retired living off a small income and has no spare funds. She has been taking in her daughter and granddaughters washing as her daughters washing machine has broken beyond repair. V's washing machine has also now broken and needs replacing.
