B is a lovely lady who is volunteering at the Foodbank and cooks for the Monday lunch in her local church. She attended the Christians Against Poverty Job Club and will start applying for jobs. Her washing machine needs repairing and we would love to arrange that for her. B is always helping other people, can you help us to do something for her? Thank you!
A is a single parent of four children, three of whom live with her in a two bedroom Council flat with no lift. Her two youngest boys have Diabetes and; therefore, complex medical needs. Her cooker and washing machine urgently need replacing, mum gets no support from their father and all of her children get free school meals. A donation towards a cooker would transform the family's life and would enable them to cook healthy meals and nourish their bodies.
T has four children, two older and two younger, and is need of a washing machine. Her current machine is not working and, with a busy household, this is very much a necessity, especially with young children. With the increased living costs, this has had a big impact on her finances.
C is unable to work, due to mental and other health issues, following the death of his mother during the pandemic, for whom he was a full time carer. After her death, C was moved into accommodation which became infested with rodents. He had already lived with a bug infestation, which contributed to ulcers on his leg. Whilst this has now been dealt with by Pest Control, he is desperately in need of a new bed, as a result. Please can you help C to make his home comfortable and safe, as he rebuilds his life?
M, a single mum with four children, suffers with mental health, panic attacks and anxiety, and cannot afford to work. Her children all suffer with various physical, emotional and mental health illnesses. The cooker failed the gas test and was switched off in April. The family have not been able to afford to cook since then. The cooker will cost £300 and her friends have contributed 50% of the cost. Please could you provide the extra £150?
