F is a single father who lives with his 11 year old daughter. He has recently undergone heart surgery and can no longer work at present due to his health condition while he concentrates on recovery. His cooker is beyond repair and the pair of them rely on foodbank contributions or buy takeaways and processed ready meals to warm up in the microwave. Your kind donation would enable him to prepare healthy meals for him and his daughter and greatly contribute to his well-being.
D has recently moved into a council flat with her 2 small children. The flat has a fridge/freezer but the door is completely broken and is a health and safety concern. D has to remove the whole door to use it. The church is providing the remainder of the balance for the item and we will purchase it in the hope and prayer that the funds may be raised in retrospect. This is due to the immediacy of the issue with small children.
The client was referred to the Lewisham foodbank for food items and during a conversation it also became apparent that food had been spoiled due to a broken fridge/freezer. She is suffering from depression having moved from Bristol with her 14 year old daughter. She has no family in London and is missing her son and family who it is difficult to see at the moment due to Covid-19. A new fridge/freezer would enable her to shop economically as she will be able to store food in the way that she has been doing until now. Thank you so much.
