Mr W has come from being street homeless to living in a hostel temporarily. Now, he has managed to find unfurnished property. There are no curtains or blinds in the property, he was given a blind to help with privacy in the bedroom but it is too small. Mr W is on Universal Credit and is finding it difficult to save up for items like these. He is worried about privacy and would like to feel safe in his new home. He is starting to get his independence back and this will help.

A and C and their two children (aged 2 and 7) have recently had to move from their home into temporary council accommodation. A lost his job 2 years ago due to health issues (PTSD) and is still awaiting NHS treatment, which has been delayed. As a result of unemployment, bills and debts have mounted up and they are really struggling. They are in urgent need of a cooker to cook hot meals. They are currently using the foodbank and sorting out their finances with Christians Against Poverty. Can you help them?
This client has had to move to an unfurnished flat due to fleeing domestic abuse from an ex partner. She has taken an overdose on two occasions in the past and was discharged from a mental health unit into temporary accommodation until she was rehoused recently. She has been diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder. She is usually in employment as a sales assistant in a shop on a low income but is currently in receipt of Statutory Sick Pay which just about covers her outgoings. Can you help her to get a washing machine?
This client suffers from depression with psychotic episodes and has just spent time in a mental health unit following a breakdown. Whilst he was being treated his wife left him and removed the white goods from their home. In order to be discharged from hospital his home needs to have the basic essentials but he is in receipt of Universal Credit and cannot afford to purchase the items required. Another charity has provided a cooker and your help with a fridge/freezer would be most appreciated.
This client is a lone parent who has fled a domestic abuse situation with her two very young children (aged 1 and 2 years old). She has had to make a home in a new location for their safety. They have now been moved into an unfurnished property and they have no belongings to bring with her due to how they had to flee the family home. She is in receipt of a low income of Universal Credit and Child Benefit and does not have the income to buy the essential white goods required.
This mum, with her 3 children, relocated to Leicester following experience of domestic abuse. She now struggles with her mental health and her confidence levels are really low. For these reasons and having no support network or family around to help with the children, she is unable to work. For some time mum has been sleeping on a broken bed. She is now moving to a new property so she would really appreciate having a new bed.
