Fredericka is currently unemployed and has been coming along to our Job Club for a few months as she tries to get back into work. Her 16 year old washing machine has finally gone to the white goods retirement farm so she is having to wash her clothes by hand as she cannot afford to go to the laundrette. DB just arrived this week from Ireland to settle with his girlfriend and their new baby and to support his 5-year-old stepson, Kaolan. He is a new addition to IIG's already overcrowded household. He desperately needs a start-up finance for food, change of clothes, job search, and interviews.
Family with two children need to replace broken baby cot and fridge. The father is currently on a sickness benefit and his family have no savings to meet these costs at present. It is important to for them to avoid overcrowding in the bed and to be able to keep baby food and diary products refrigerated for the family.
